IRC is one of 21 regional centers in CA that are contracted by the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services for individuals with disabilities. They are mandated by the Lanterman Act.
We also work with the following nine Regional Centers in Southern CA region: Eastern Los Angeles, Frank D. Lanterman,
Harbor, North Los Angeles, Pomona/San Gabriel, San Diego, South Central & Westside
NOTE: To receive Regional Center services, a person must meet requirements that are defined by law. These requirements are called Eligibility Criteria. Their website explains their Eligibility Criteria and the laws that establish these requirements. NOTE: Their systems and processes can take up to 120 days from the initial contact of families who need developmental disabilities support and services.
IRC and all the other Regional Centers work with community-based service providers once evaluations are officially conducted and evaluated and a determination has been made that families are in need of ABA services.
