CRISIS WALK IN CLINICS (CWIC)
Crisis Walk-In Clinics (CWIC) provide urgent mental health services to San Bernardino County residents. A CWIC provides crisis intervention and risk assessments, medications, referrals to county, contract, and community resources, education, and evaluations for hospitalization when necessary. Consumers are screened for appropriateness of service and provided referrals or admitted into a CWIC for additional assessment. If a consumer meets the criteria to see a psychiatrist, an appointment will be arranged the same day for adults, and an appointment scheduled for children.
